Aging and Equipment

People living with spinal cord injury and other types of disability can continue to live fulfilling lives as they age; however, sometimes assistance is required. Rest assured there’s a wide variety of assistive equipment and tools we can use to complete physically challenging daily tasks with more ease, and to help us maintain our quality of life.

In this course you’ll learn about:

  • Personal experiences of people living with SCI and how aging has impacted their quality of life.
  • Universal design and how it is used to create assistive devices and home design that can benefit a wide variety of people.
  • How you can make your home environment work better for you as you age and can make use of assistive tools and devices.
