People living with chronic pain often use unhealthy coping strategies to try to help overcome their limitations:
Some people avoid activities in fear that they may re-injure themselves
Others may do the opposite and push through the pain even when it may not be safe
Pacing is a way to find balance between these two extremes.
In this course you will learn ways of managing your daily activities and doing what’s important to you. We share practice scenarios, tools and worksheets that you can use to help build new habits. Also, five people share stories about their experiences using activity pacing as a strategy to help cope with chronic pain.
This course is part of the Living with Chronic Pain series.
