How to Choose the Right Wheelchair | What’s the Right Wheelchair for Me?

Today, we are talking about how to choose the right wheelchair when deciding what’s the right wheelchair for me. In this video Lubna, talks about the process of choosing a wheelchair, and some of the customizations she made. She talks about the things the mistakes she made, and what she wished she had done differently.

Choosing a wheelchair will be determined by three highly personal factors: suitability for the user, use, and surroundings. In general, all wheelchairs are changeable in terms of seat and back size and position, as well as adjustable and detachable armrests and footrests. So, how do you go about selecting a wheelchair? When it comes to wheelchairs, size matters. It’s critical to pick the right size chair, otherwise you’ll have trouble fitting into it if it’s too little or slipping out of it if it’s too huge. Make careful you take measurements of the chair’s width and height. Your age, weight, and height should all be taken into account.

Buying a wheelchair is a major step. Some may even compare purchasing this mobility equipment to purchasing a car. You’ll use it every day to travel anywhere you need to go, and you’ll want customized features to meet your personal demands and preferences. Wheelchairs no longer come in one size fits all. Today, there are numerous varieties of wheelchairs available. They are available in a variety of shapes, sizes, and patterns, as well as configurable features. What you choose can have a significant impact on your degree of comfort, ease of movement, and overall pleasure with your purchase.
