Dr. Alice Kam is a specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation certified to practice within the province of Ontario. She is also American Board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Kam has extensive experience and interest in concussion management. She is actively involved in concussion education to students, patients and families. She contributed to the development of educational tools for fatigue management, which was a project funded by the Ontario Neurotrauma Foundation. She was involved in the development of a standardized education kit for patients with acute concussions. In addition, she collaborated with a concussion research team and was involved in numerous concussion research projects, such as the development of the Risk Score for Adults with Persisting Post-Concussion Symptoms, the development of a best practice model in acute concussion, and various concussion-related studies, such as migraine headaches and concussion, concussion and prescribed exercises, and balance symptoms post-concussion. The projects were presented in various local, national and international conferences over the years. She is currently developing a blended concussion curriculum for trainees at the University of Toronto. In addition to concussions, she also sees patients with musculoskeletal injuries.
